The Democratic Youth Forum (DYF) has accused the
president John Evans Attah Mill for being ineptitude in guaranteeing the safety
of Ghanaians. This they say is due to the recent regional clashes between
ethnic or religious groups in the various regions. In an interview with Kapital
News, Mr. Karim Iddrisu who is the executive director for the Forum stated that
the failure of the president to direct his ministers especially the regional
ministers to solve disputes in their respective regions raises questions about
the president’s cabinet ministers. He cited instances in the Northern region
where the regional minister failed to settle a dispute between two groups which
subsequently led to communal clashes, the central region clashes and the recent
Hohoe violence. He however urged the
president to be proactive and make sure that the regional ministers he
appointed are on top of their job to avoid communal clashes that are likely to
retard national development
