Mills commended the contractors for a yeoman’s job. However, the president
appealed to the contractors on the Kumasi road to expedite action on project.
He assured of government readiness to support the contractors complete the work
on schedule to relieve motorists and pedestrians from the inconveniences they
encounter on the road. President Mills indicated that the ongoing road
infrastructure expansion across the country will make life bearable for the
people and also enhance economic activities. At the Taifa Bridge site which
will be completed in September president Mills waved the crowd and said the NDC
government will do what it has to do to improve the lives of the people. In his
remark the minister for Roads and Highways Joe Gidisu said, the money to compensate affected
families who suffered damages to their properties is ready.
The
road minister also assured the general public that government is determined to
complete the Kumasi road on schedule.
