POLICE SERVICE ON FIRE

The Ghana Police Service is assuring members of the public of it’s commitment to protect those who volunteer to assist the service bring criminals to book. The police service is worried about situations where persons who fall victim to the activities of criminals refuse to help with investigations for fear that their assailants may attack them again if they do so. The police is particularly concerned that some victims refuse to show up at identification parades meant to identify suspected criminals for fear that they would come face to face with their attackers who may in future cause them harm again. Speaking to Kapital News, Deputy Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer, Corporal Godwin Ahianyo notes that the testimony of victims is critical to securing conviction of suspected criminals.
