Three
women and eleven men are to be arraigned before court following a swoop made
around nine o’clock in the evening on Tuesday July 10 by the Asokwa Divisional
Police Command at Nweneso No. 2 in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti
Region. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kapital News, the Asokwa
Divisional Police Commander, Superintendent Emmanuel Akonnor mentioned that the
youngest of the suspects is fifteen year old girl and the oldest a fifty four
year old man. Narrating the operation, the Asokwa Police boss mentioned that
his outfit received a tip-off that some people had set a camp within a forest
in the area which led to the arrest of the suspects. Also leaves suspected to
be Indian hemp and concoctions were also found at the search site. The suspects
are still in police custody.
