The Police at Sofoline in Kumasi say they suspect a foul
play in the death of a 12-year-old boy whose body was found in a pool of water
at the ongoing interchange project site-the Sofoline interchange. According to
the Police, evidence of cutlass wounds on the body of the unidentified deceased
give them cause to believe that he may have been killed and his body dumped
there.
Crime officer at the Sofoline Police station ASP George Nkwantabisa told Kapital News the spot where the body was found is different from the place where three children drowned in May, dismissing initial report that suggested that the late boy died at the same place.
According to him, post mortem was yet to be conducted on the late boy, insisting the police will rather remain quiet until investigations have been concluded.
