HEALTH INFORMATION



A health information officer has cautioned ladies against the use of pedicure and manicure, stating the health effects it has on the skin. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kapital News, a health information officer at the Ashanti Regional Office of the Ghana Health Service Mrs. Mabel Kissiwaa Asafo explained that keeping long nails especially the artificial ones could habour micro organisms in the nail bed of the body which in turn may lead to some infections of an individual. Mrs. Asafo advised that rather keeping short nails helps tremendously in the promotion of health.Meanwhile some ladies who spoke with ADAMS ISSAKA of our news desk gave varying opinions on the fixing of artificial nails in their quest to look beautiful and attractive.
