FOREIGN DIGNITRIES


The Ivorian president Alhassane Outtara has made a cash donation of 5 million CFA to former first lady Ernestina Naadu Mills and the only son of the late president John Atta Mills. He also presented an amount of 3 million CFA to the family of the late Ghana president. The presentation was made on Thursday by a delegation of Ivorian chiefs and government officials led by the Ambassador. The Ivorian president had already donated 5 cows for the burial ceremony ahead of his arrival,on Friday. He also on behalf of the Ivorian people donated 100,000 CFA for the burial of the late president John Mills and on behalf of the Ivorian people a cash donation of 10,000 CFA was also made. Other items donated included sponge, powder comb, bed sheet, box of gin and perfume. The leader of the delegation told news men the donation was a show of gratitude to the late president John Mills who was instrumental in the search for peace after a violent election.
