LP GAS IN LIMBO IN KUMASI

Some commercial drivers in the Kumasi Metropolis are complaining bitterly about the attitude of some operators of Liquefied Petroleum Gas station operators of not attending to them at the various gas stations in the city. Some of the aggrieved drivers who spoke to Kapital News indicated that they have been in queue since yesterday but the operators are ignoring them attending to only private vehicles while others too accused the operators of serving on protocol basis. They further stated that the operators are pretending to be serving those buying for domestic use but are rather attend to those with private cars since the car owners pay beyond the pegged price. Meanwhile, when Kapital News contacted some of the owners of the gas station, they debunked the allegation saying that they are adhering strictly to directives from authorities that those buying for domestic use should be attended to first before the commercial vehicles. They also added that the private vehicles are not given any special treatment as alleged by the commercial drivers. They further appealed to the aggrieved drivers to exercise patience as the fault is not from them but due to shortage of gas from the national quarters.
