NYEP

The Subin Metropolitan Coordinator of the National Youth Employment Programme is denying a Weekly Observer newspaper reportage alleging that he has been taking bribes from beneficiaries of the programme. The paper in its Monday July 30, 2012 edition alleges that the coordinator extorts five hundred Ghana Cedis from beneficiaries of the NYEP. But Mohammed Mujib Ishaq denies this. He says some potential beneficiaries of the NYEP do not follow the laid administrative procedure in applying for recruitment. Mr. Mohammed Mujib Ishaq discloses that it has come to his attention that some of the potential applicants submit their applications through mischievous characters, charlatans and fraudsters who pretend to be connected or associated with hid office, who he warns to desist from the act. He is thus demanding an immediate retraction and apology by the Weekly Observer newspaper. The Subin Metropolitan Coordinator of the National Youth Employment Programme, Mr. Mohammed Mujib IShaq however discloses that plans have been putting in place to pay those NYEP beneficiaries whose monies were on hold since they started the work.
