A former President of the National Union of Ghana Students is
encouraging consensus building in resolving the impasses that have
characterized the inability of the union to elect new executives. The 46th
Annual congress of the National Union of Ghana Students was over the weekend marred
by violence, resulting in the inability of the union to elect new executives.
The congress, which began at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and
Technology, came to an abrupt end on Sunday when chaos broke out prior to the
election. Hamza Suhyini wants student leaders to close ranks and resolve the
impasses peacefully.
