GHANA MEDICAL ASSOCIATION APOLOGIZE TO INSTITUTE OF ECONOMIC AFFAIRS


The President of the Ghana Medical Association Dr. Kwabena Opoku Adusei has apologized on behalf of the association to the organizers of the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) encounter with the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party presidential candidate Nana Akuffo Addo at the India-Kofi Annan ICT center in Accra. He said they were supposed to have a representative who will have asked one question on the association behalf but due to circumstance he described as beyond their control, the representative could not turn up at the event. Commenting on the issues Nana Akuffo Addo highlighted at the encounter, he stated that all issues raised by the presidential candidate were of relevance but where the Ghana Medical Association think the flagbearer should consider is where he said he will support Ghanaian medical students with scholarship to study in Cuba to divert that fund he will use in sponsoring the students to refurbish and equipped  the three existing facilities in the country to enable them study in their home country if he is chosen as the first gentleman of the land by the electorates in  the December polls.
