The
President of the Ghana Medical Association Dr. Kwabena Opoku Adusei has
apologized on behalf of the association to the organizers of the Institute of Economic
Affairs (IEA) encounter with the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party
presidential candidate Nana Akuffo Addo at the India-Kofi Annan ICT center in
Accra. He said they were supposed to have a representative who will have asked
one question on the association behalf but due to circumstance he described as
beyond their control, the representative could not turn up at the event.
Commenting on the issues Nana Akuffo Addo highlighted at the encounter, he
stated that all issues raised by the presidential candidate were of relevance
but where the Ghana Medical Association think the flagbearer should consider is
where he said he will support Ghanaian medical students with scholarship to
study in Cuba to divert that fund he will use in sponsoring the students to
refurbish and equipped the three
existing facilities in the country to enable them study in their home country
if he is chosen as the first gentleman of the land by the electorates in the December polls.
