Former
minister of state and a leading member in the New Patriotic Party, Nana Obiri
Boahen has welcomed the comments by his Excellency the president John Dramani
Mahama in his address of the nation last night in which he said the country
should remain united after the mourning of the late president John Atta Mills.
In an interview with Kapital News, Mr. Boahen stated that if only the president
can ensure that the NDC communicators who represent the party in the various
political platforms in the media across the nation will be civil in their
language, then, the nation will not be divided by sectarian violence. He also
accused Mr.Alhaji Bature the editor of the El Hajj news paper and member of the
NDC communication team of publishing a news story in today’s edition of the paper
that sort to ridicule the opposition party NPP. This he says in his opinion,
the president should call him to order since he is part of the NDC communication
team and his views might represent the party.
