OBED ASAMOAH AND ISSUES ARISING


The leader of the Dissolved Democratic Freedom Party and the Former Chairman of the ruling National democratic Congress, Dr. Obed Asamoah has disclose that their defection from the NDC party was not that he has bad blood with President Mills but issues within the party that remains unsolved. According to Dr. Asamoah, he believes in internal democracy in the various political parties in the country which the NDC party by then did not subscribed to. The NDC Former Chairman however says the way and manner the party endorsed President Mills as the fore runner of the party was undemocratic and that resulted in the defection. Dr. Yao Asamoah indicated that from the outpouring of grief the people are seeing, it is obvious that the president is loved by many. Dr. Asamoah however thinks Ghanaians should emulate his humility and his desire for peace adding he did not believe in the idea of insults but rather can discuss issues without insults However, Dr. Obed Yao Asamoah has express satisfaction that he was able to iron out issues with President Mills before the sudden demise. He hopes his death will not be in vain; but will keep ghanaian politics decent and tasked the leaders to be responsible and avoid putting out statements that will provoke people.
