The
Funeral Planning Committee of the late President Mills says it has made
amendments to its original schedule on public access to the Asomdwee Park where
the late leader was buried, to allow for further public viewing of his grave. A
statement signed by Deputy Minister of Information and member of the Funeral
Planning Committee, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, said the Asomdwee Park will now be
opened till the evening of Sunday, 19th August, 2012 after which it will be
closed to the public for further works to be carried out on the site. This due to what it says are the overwhelming
resolve by the general public to pay their last respect and drop flowers at the
final resting place of the mortal remains of Professor John Evans Atta Mills. The
statement explained that the additional works on the Asomdwee Park will now
commence on the 20th of August, 2012 after which it will be opened to the
public again.
