JOHN AND JOHN GEARS UP FOR ACTION IN THE 2012 ELECTION

The Youth group in the ruling National Democratic Congress-JOHN and JOHN says their major task ahead of them now is to see it that the party wins more parliamentary seats in the newly created constituencies but yet to be rectified by parliament in the 2012 election. In a press briefing at the national headquarters of the group at Ayigya Kumasi, the communication director of the group Mr. Nii Sakam Korley told the press that the group was founded in 2007 to lend support to the then two Johns who were seeking the mandate of the people. He said they achieved their aim when the two Johns were voted in to power in the 2008 polls but God in his own wisdom took away one of the Johns who is the late president John Evan Atta Mills and they are still retaining the name even though the two candidates who will be on the party ticket for the 2012 election will not be two Johns as in 2008 to honour the late president John Atta Mills. He further stated that the group is of the convection that the party will win the 2012 election massively hence their focus now on the parliamentary seats to stabilize   their government.
